Love to Showcase The Legend's & Growing Talent
Starting my journey at the age of 13, DJing parties on the Southside of Chicago at a local school called the Visitation. Some of the best DJ’s from the Hot Mix 5, Kenny “Jammin” Jason and Farley “Funkin” Keith, used to DJ there. Later I moved to Detroit where I met an entrepreneur named Moses Bourne who gave me my first gig as a DJ in mixing and honing in on my skill. Music has always been a love of mine. I began singing in choirs and started a singing group while in the military called Dejour (Doing Everything Just Outta Utmost Respect). I graduated from Specs Howard School of Broadcasting Arts in 2002. I worked as an intern producer for Talk of the Town radio show featuring Frankie Darcell at Mix 92.3. I also worked with the program director O'Neill Stevens and Tracy McCaskill. My experience led me to become a board engineer for AM 1440 gospel station and 105.1 Magic FM Detroit. I had the privilege of interviewing musical artists such as Brian McKnight, Blackstreet, Kenny Lattimore, Chanté Moore and others. In 2019, I brought my lifelong dream of having a radio station to fruition and became the proud owner of the Soul Emporium Radio WJBJ.
